At Harrington Wealth Management Company (“HWMC”) we value and respect our customers. We are committed to providing the best service available and believe that part of that service is protecting the privacy and security of our customers' personal information. We collect and maintain information about you to enable us to open and maintain your accounts, protect the security of your accounts, conduct business in a manner consistent with federal banking laws and regulations and satisfy legal requirements. This Privacy Policy describes how HWMC and its affiliates1 collect and use nonpublic personal information about you and how we maintain the confidentiality of such information.
NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT. “Nonpublic personal information” is defined in applicable regulations and generally means financial information that is identified with you that is not obtainable from a public source. For example, your account number is nonpublic personal information. If you have a real estate-secured loan that is public information because the deed of trust or mortgage from you is recorded as a public record.
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or nonaffiliated third parties
- Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.
GENERAL DISCLOSURE POLICY. HWMC does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone except as permitted by law.
DISCLOSURE TO AFFILIATES. HWMC may disclose to its affiliates Los Padres Bank/Harrington Bank and Harrington West Financial Group, Inc. or Valley Oaks Financial Corporation information as to transactions or experiences between HWMC and our customers and former customers.
DISCLOSURE TO NONAFFILIATES. HWMC Company may disclose your name and address to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have a joint marketing agreement.
PERSONAL INFORMATION CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY. Safeguarding your personal information is important at HWMC. We maintain systems, policies and procedures to protect your personal information from being accessed by unauthorized persons. We limit employee access to personal customer information to those with a legitimate business reason for such access. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. We do not sell our customer lists to catalogs, direct mail companies, magazines or other non-financial service providers.
ACCURACY OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION. At HWMC we believe it is important that the information we maintain about your accounts with us is as accurate as possible. We maintain internal controls to help ensure the accuracy of such information.
